MINUTES
EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING
.of March 22 , 2010
CALL TO ORDER: President Bill Barnes called the meeting, held at Shomars on Eastway,  to order at 5:57PM.
THOSE ATTENDING: Bill Barnes-President,   Richard Kinkel-Treasurer, Jack LaPointe-Vice President, Galin Bolin-valued member, & myself.
MINUTES: Motion to approve previous minutes as posted on the club web site; Made by Richard, seconded by Jack. Passed.

ELECTIONS: Results of March elections: Bill Barnes-President, Jack LaPointe-Vice President, Richard Kinkel-Treasurer, Paul Reiss-Secretary & Rob Wilson-News Letter Editor
GENERAL MEETING: April's general meeting will be held on Thursday, 4-8-10 at 7 PM. Fred Miller will give a presentation on computers in model railroading. The intricacies of operating the modern model railroad layout in terms of scheduling, speed control, switching, lighting and more will be discussed.
OTHER PROGRAMS: Confirmed programs will include: How The Internet Works by Bill & Dewey Williams-Webmaster, the perennial favorite Question & Answer program, Video-taking or editing, Organizing your photos by Galin & Bill showing ThumbsPlus, programs & online sites.
FUTURE PROGRAMS: WE NEED IDEAS, FOLKS!
Hodgepodge, Windows Home Server, Cloud Computing/Google Apps. And similar services from other sources, OWN YOUR COMPUTER-data organization with Bill, The next upgrade-64 bit computing - emphasis on software and peripheral compatibility. 
TREASURER: For the next PCCC meeting Richard would like Barbara to bring a check closing out the club account and detailed information (ledger) of this year and preferably last year. Richard will request a $100 budget for club checks, envelopes, etc. compatible with Quicken which he intends to use.

NEWSLETTER: Rob will send the newsletter the weekend before the meeting,  that is the one before the 2nd Thursday. Any contributions to the newsletter need to be submitted this weekend (Saturday the 1st .)

SIGs Special Interest Groups:
     Routers both wired and wireless and home network setup. Protocol N  is now official.
Richard suggested SIGs on more social networks, lost passwords, what to do when it won't boot. Trinity & Bart, gaming and Clear vs Time Warner vs Windstream vs AT&T were also suggested.

THE 'CLUB DVD': Paul is in  the finishing stages of preparation of the DVD. We burned copies for the board's evaluation and comment tonight.

UPCOMING MEETINGS: General meeting 4/8, Pre-meeting supper TBA, Board meeting 4/26, location TBA.

ADJOURNMENT: It was moved by Jack and seconded by Paul that the meeting be adjourned. Passed unanimously at 7:05 PM.
