"Behind the Web"
Wednesday, September 15, 2004, 7:00pm
CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
Yes! It's here!
The Web Design SIG continues our basic overview of HTML.
We will look at the advantages of different servers as you're
choosing a hosting company. Usually you don't have much choice
over whether your host is running Windows or Apache, but it can
influence the capabilities of your site.
The coding part of the evening will look at the HTML of
links.
Please click the link below for more details on the session.
We're looking for volunteers to "own" each page of
the website. If you'd like to learn a little bit about creating
web pages and help support the club, please add your comments to
the forum at pc3.org.
This is especially opportune now since our hosting company is
moving us to a new server. Choose your pages.

CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
The
MS Office SIG this month is titled
Macros. Guest speaker Frank
Hargrave will introduce us to macros in Word and Excel. If you
aren't using at least simple macros to save keystrokes and clicks,
you need to start here. Come anyway tonight. Next month we'll show
power users how to edit their own code.
Follow the link below to find a slide show explaining macros.
Eatin' before the Meetin' will be somewhere about 5:30. Please
call Bill if you want to join him or suggest a spot.
Office@pc3.org or 704-607-6461 or 704-587-4202 by 3:30 Monday.
Please help us promote this SIG by telling your coworkers,
underlings, (boss), friends -- anyone who uses MS Office -- that
they'll be more efficient after a few months with us.
