Interest Groups
It is time again for our special interest
groups to meet. For those new to the club, the
Special Interest Groups, or SIGs, are special
meetings dedicated to specific topics.
Remember, SIGs are for the club's paying
members. You can give your $5 dues for
membership through April 2004 to the moderator
at any meeting or mail them with the information
at the address below.
The SIG schedule is as follows:

Webmaster's
SIG |
 |
| We're
looking for volunteers to "own" each
page of the website. If you'd like to learn a
little bit about creating web pages and help
support the club, please contact Dewey Williams,
webmaster.
Coming in January! Hands-on group
opportunities for anyone to learn how a webpage
is made.
This group will also get tips from Galen
Bolen on graphics manipulation -- from drawing
to saving in a format that others can use.

Office SIG
"Beyond words and
numbers"
November 17, 2003, 7:00pm
CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
The MS Office SIG this month covers Basics
of Design. We'll touch on
all the parameters of design and better ways to
get the appearance you want. Ideas and a
downloadable session outline are on the MS
Office SIG page below but if there's something
you're particularly interested in, let us know.
Join us for fellowship at the "Eatin'
before the Meetin' " at the Golden Corral
across the street from CompUSA. Come look for us
about 5:30.
Please help us promote this SIG by telling
your coworkers, underlings, (boss), friends --
anyone who uses MS Office -- that they'll be
more efficient after a few months with us.

Digital Camera SIG
Tuesday, November 18, 2003, 7:00pm
CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
The next meeting of the PC Club's Digital
Photography SIG will be this Tuesday @ 7:00pm at
CompUSA on South Blvd. located in Pineville. I
will show you how to take pictures of interiors
and give you the benefit of over 20 years
experience as a commercial photographer. Please
bring your digital cameras, since this will be a
"hands on" lesson. After I explain the
technique, we will then take our cameras and
photograph the inside of CompUSA. If you have a
tripod please bring that too. I hope to see
everyone at the next meeting. Happy
photographing.

SIG Internet SIG
Thursday, November 20, 2003, 7:00pm
CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
We introduce the PCCC to Mozilla, the Open
Source version of the (late) Netscape internet
browser. Being the biggest target in the forest,
Internet Explorer is a significant source of
virus attacks. Protect yourself to an extent by
converting to #2.
Please send Paul your suggestions and goals
for the reinvigorated I-SIG.
