Interest Groups
For those new to the club, the Special
Interest Groups, or SIGs, are special meetings
dedicated to specific topics. Remember, SIGs are
for the club's paying members. You can give your
$5 dues for membership through April 2004 to the
moderator at any meeting or mail them with the
information at the address below.
The SIG schedule is as follows:

looking for volunteers to "own" each
page of the website. If you'd like to learn a
little bit about creating web pages and help
support the club, please contact Dewey Williams,
webmaster.
Coming soon! Hands-on group opportunities for
anyone to learn how a webpage is made.
This group will also get tips from Galen
Bolen on graphics manipulation -- from drawing
to saving in a format that others can use.

Office SIG
"Beyond words and
numbers"
February 16, 2004, 7:00pm
CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
Eatin' before the Meetin' at Steak 'n' Shake
across the street.
The MS Office SIG this month is titled Link,
link, link. We'll learn
how to create hyperlinks in Office documents.
Build an electronic document with a clickable
table of contents. Call up related documents
from within Office. Create an index of
frequently used files without searching through
your disc.
Ideas and a downloadable session outline are
on the MS Office SIG page below but if there's
something you're particularly interested in, let
us know.
Please help us promote this SIG by telling
your coworkers, underlings, (boss), friends --
anyone who uses MS Office -- that they'll be
more efficient after a few months with us.

Spam Fighting Tip - from AOL
Here is one way to help reduce spam in your
mailbox. Use several different e-mail addresses
- one for business, one for personal and various
for online chat and newsgroup use. If you post
your address on a public site (chatroom, message
board or newsgroup), use a screen name or
disguise your address.
Please send Paul your suggestions and goals
for the reinvigorated I-SIG.
